Busy, Busy, Busy

Hey Everyone,

I'm not sure where to begin....it has been a busy time. Jon and his crew worked their tails off the last two weeks to get our house ready to close. These are the things that were completed: all doors on cabinets as well as hardware have been installed, staircase, toilets, tubs/shower fixtures installed, door knobs on all doors, lighting, granite, sink in kitchen, carpet, tile, and back splashes. I know I'm probably leaving something out. The pictures are below. Oh, and we also did the walk through for the painter. That is what the little yellow sticky's are in the pictures.

Hurricane Gustav put a little damper on things this weekend. My mom, dad, aunt and grandmother were suppose to come up on Friday to help us clean and get the house ready. Unfortunately none of them could come because of the hurricane. Joey and I tried the best we could with two small children to get most of the cleaning done this week or rather the first layer of crud off of everything. We still have a long way to go. I haven't' started packing yet either. I was hoping to get that done this weekend too. My mom and dad should be here on Thursday and Friday to move. I'm so ready for all of this to be over with. It has been a long road.

Hi Allyson,
Wow, everything is awesome. All what you have gone through will be forgotten once you move into your mansion! I love everything, too many things to mention!

Maw maw was so sad we couldn't go to your house. We were in BR and left early Saturday morning heading back to Houston to beat the traffic. She said, "can we go to Allyson's"? I told her everyone was going in that direction to evacuate. At 6:00 Saturday AM the radio said I-55 and I-59 North had heavy traffic. She didn't understand how bad the hurricane was.

Hang in there, it won't be long. Hope to see ya'll soon.
Love, Aunt Glenda

Hi Allyson,
Your house is so beautiful! It has so many nice touches that make it look like it should be in a magazine! Your Mom and Kenny have been great to us. I bet they were glad to come to Mississippi to get a break from us all. :)
Love,
Shelly
