Hi Everyone,


Sorry it has been so long since the last post. I know you want to know what is going on with the house so I'll get right down to business....

The exterior of the house is pretty much complete. We have paint, stain, brick, and a roof. We had a little mishap with the stain color. We picked out the same stain color we had at our house in Clinton - Dark Walnut. The door turned out great, but the cypress columns, not so good. They are pretty much black. Luckily, the painter found a way to fix this so he is going to strip most of the stain off and we will stain with a lighter color.

As for the interior of the house....the sheetrock has been hung. They are suppose to start mudding/floating today.

I'll try to do a better job of posting...

A Little Set Back

Hi Everyone,

We had a little set back yesterday. On Tuesday night someone came in and stole some of the copper out of the house. Luckily, it wasn't the plumbing or the air conditioners. It was some of the electrical wire. We filed a report with the police. They have a lead on a car with Louisiana tags. The electrician said they did about $3000-$4000 worth of damage for $50 worth in copper. Everything will be taken care of with insurance. Yeah.

The painter will start painting the exterior today so I should have some pictures tomorrow.
