Hi Everyone,
The house is shaping up nicely. It is actually starting to look like we could live in it.
Before I get into the details and pictures, I wanted to say an enormous, gigantic THANK YOU to Basil Arthur, Kristi and Andy Hall for helping Joey and me on Saturday to lay sod, pull up the form around the driveway, clean up, etc. A lot of sweat went into Saturday and we can't thank you enough.
Okay, now onto the house. We got floors, not sure if I told you that or not. The wood floors were installed on Friday night minus 8 boards (I think) in the study. The guys ran out of wood. We got real pine put in. They will come back in two weeks to sand, stain, etc the floor. Right now it is unfinished. We also had the ceramic installed minus the grout. The grout will be put in after the painter finishes. The electricians were working in the house this weekend and this week. We got lights and smoke detectors. Unfortunately, there was an accident earlier this week. One of our electricians almost fell completely through the ceiling in the living room. The fall would have been around 19 feet. Luckily, he caught himself by his fingertips. Please pray for him that he will have a speedy recovery. He has two broke ribs. Thank the Lord it wasn't anything more than that. We did have a hole in the ceiling, but the sheet rock guy came out and fixed it. Jon, Gene, and Mikey build and installed the drawers this week. They look great. Yesterday, Jon was putting the staircase in. It should be finished today and I'll upload pictures when I get them.
I also want to say a big "thanks" for all those that are working or have worked on our house. Although this process is stressful at times, Jon and his crew have done a great job. We are eager to move in and throw a party.
